Emme is Brazilian-born and grew up in the restaurant industry with a big passion for food and flavor. Emme expanded her culinary skills at the Seattle Culinary Academy before heading to Washington D.C. to work with celebrity chef Nora Pouillon and her team at America’s first certified organic restaurant. After spending time in D.C., Emme returned to Seattle where she worked at some of the top restaurants and catering companies before deciding to open her own boutique catering company, Soul & Spice. In addition to her long list of accolades, Emme is a part of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee of Les Dames D’Escoffier as well as serving as a member of the Chef Anne Foundation Advisory board, an organization that is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools.
